Members of the UrbanFoS project team will tomorrow, 06.08.2024., as well as 08.08.2024 and 13.08.2024. in accordance with the planned project activities, sample the soil and carry out field tests and measurements on the territory of the "Stepin Lug" forest park in Belgrade. Based on the previously conducted reconnaissance of the terrain and analysis of the vulnerability of surfaces to degradation processes, representative locations for soil sampling were selected. Cylinders of known volume will be used for sampling for undisturbed samples, and a drill and a shovel for disturbed samples. A hand-held wing probe and penetrometer will be used for field measurements.
Hemispherical canopy photography and image analysis with light measurement for undisturbed calculation of leaf area index and other canopy parameters are planned for August 8th and 13th. The Plant Canopy CI-110 will be used for the above canopy analyses.
