Tomorrow, August 29, 2024, the UrbanFoS project team will, in accordance with the planned project activities, sample the soil and conduct field tests/measurements in the Letnikovac forest on the outskirts of Šabac. The sampled soil will be transported to the laboratory and prepared for further project activities, i.e., to analyse physical, mechanical and chemical properties. Known replacement cylinders will be used for sampling undisturbed samples, and a drill and a spade for disturbed samples. A hand-held wing probe and a hand-held penetrometer will be used for field measurements.
The UrbanFoS team plans to perform hemispherical canopy photography and image analysis with light measurement for undisturbed calculation of leaf area index and other canopy parameters as part of tomorrow's activities. The Plant Canopy CI-110 will be used for the above canopy analyses.
