Tomorrow, July 11, 2024, the UrbanFoS project team will conduct soil sampling and field testing at the Arboretum of the Faculty of Forestry in Belgrade by the planned project activities. By terrain-oriented reconnaissance and analyzing the vulnerability of surface soil to degradation processes, they will first select representative locations for soil sampling. The sampled soil will be transported to the laboratory and prepared for further project activities. Cylinders of known volume will be used for sampling for undisturbed samples, and a drill and a shovel for disturbed samples will be used. A hand-held wing probe and a penetrometer will be used for field measurements.

The UrbanFoS team plans to perform hemispherical canopy photography and image analysis with light measurement for undisturbed calculation of leaf area index and other canopy parameters as part of tomorrow's activities. The Plant Canopy CI-110 will be used for the above canopy analyses.
