Nikola Živanović focuses on soil degradation processes with a special emphasis on erosion processes. He explores the mechanism of erosion processes, soil resistance to erosion by defining physical-mechanical properties. Additionally, he is involved in developing rain simulators and conducting experimental field and laboratory tests to study soil response to simulated rain. As a Master of Forestry Engineering, he implements his scientific findings in practical solutions for soil degradation, conservation and reclamation problems through the concept of ecological engineering.
